2010 MISSION GIVING & PER CAPITA

Mission Giving (Unified/Designated/Special Offerings) supports budget provisions for Presbytery Staff and Mission Funding.

Unified (General) Giving will be distributed according to the following percentages, unless otherwise noted:

General Assembly	20%
Synod of the Northeast	5%
Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley	75%

Designated giving and Special Offerings will support those projects/programs of the General Assembly, Synod of the Northeast and Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley identified by congregations.

Treasurers of congregations are encouraged to transmit mission giving monthly to the Presbytery.  

Per Capita supports budget provisions for Presbytery Office/Operations and Presbytery Council/Committees.

2010 Per Capita is based on the 2008 Statistical Report of the Office of the General Assembly. This is because budget planning for each governing body happens before 2009 membership figures are available, and if a report is not submitted from a particular church in a timely fashion, the previous year's membership is used. For 2010, each governing body determines the following per capita amounts:

General Assembly	$ 6.15 /member
Synod of the Northeast	$ 3.85 /member
Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley	$ 21.73 /member
TOTAL	$ 31.73 /member

Treasurers of congregations may transmit per capita monthly or quarterly to the Presbytery.   Presbytery is obligated to transmit per capita to the General Assembly and Synod on a quarterly basis with a final payment due October 15 th.

Remittance form (available from the Presbytery website) should be sent in with each check in order to assist in tracking the accuracy of your giving.
